Songs are too distracting for me. But if I'm in the car and am mulling over a scene, I might listen to some mood enhancing songs.

I do love the idea of creating a playlist for a character or even a season I'm writing about. I'll give that some thought.LinWashhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13041832821260168483noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3917729637280439180.post-33957846445972497152011-08-03T11:24:40.256-07:002011-08-03T11:24:40.256-07:00This comment has been removed by the author.LinWashhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13041832821260168483noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3917729637280439180.post-54327173973862829872011-08-03T10:19:56.472-07:002011-08-03T10:19:56.472-07:00Yes! I find instrumental music helps me the most b/c the lyrics don't distract me from my own prose and emotion can be conveyed really well by, say, a violin or a clarinet. :) Music is definitely a powerful aid for writing. I love the way you've got it broken down into which music helps you with which type of writing. Very insightful!Katrina L.
