Fess Up Friday: Sirens Galore!

I'm still kicking myself for not reading any YA books regarding this mythological creature.

*head hangs low in shame*

BUT I'm making up for it by asking you this week's trend question: do you enjoy reading about sirens?

And here's where I cheat: Can you recommend me any YA books with sirens, please???

Thanks! And have a wonderful weekend!

  1. Erm. The only stories I've read with sirens galore in them are from Greek mythology. Sorry!

Aww but sirens are AWESOME!!! They lure people to do silly things and worse..!

    Take care

  2. I just posted a review about a YA book titled 'Sea Change' by Aimee Friedman. It deals with Sirens, Merfolk and tales of the sea. While the book only deals with the possibility of these creatures of myth, there are some interesting, yet nagging suspicions of certain characters belonging to the elusive society of the sea!

    Great post!

  3. Sorry - my only "experience" with Sirens was on an episode of Supernatural.

  4. I've not read any yet, although I've heard Forgive My Fins is really good.
And there's always The Little Mermaid...but I don't think she counts. lol.

  5. I haven't read any books with sirens in it. The only book I know of for sure with sirens in it is Siren by Kiera Cass because a friend of mine read it. I can't vouch for the writing because I honestly have no idea... not sure that helps you any.

  7. Yes!! Sirens are awesome. I'm very excited about Mandy Hubbard's upcoming YA novel: Ripple.

Also, I've toyed with a siren-esque idea for over a year now, but probably will not write it anytime soon.

Great post! I need more book reccs, too--always.
