So. Valentine's Day is right around the corner, and I figured I'd share some lovey-dovey YA books I wuv.

I mean... love... *slaps baby self*

Trust me, this list is NOT COMPLETE. I am a sucker for all things wuv *cough* love, so yeah. There are tons more. But here's the CliffNotes version of romance-heavy YA books I wuv *cough* love (in no particular order, of course!):

Now fess up: what are your favorite romance-heavy YA books???

Oh, and quick reminder: my Fake Boyfriend/Girlfriend Blogfest goes live February 15th!! You can sign up here. See you there!!

  1. You've definitely listed some of my favorites. For me, it's almost anything by Simone Elkeles, Sarah Dessen, and Elizabeth Scott. There are others, but my mind's gone blank for now.

  2. Anna and the French Kiss is the 1st romancy-heavy YA novel I've read since I generally don't like that genre. However, it's now one of my faves! :) I plan on reading Matched, Freefall, and If I stay very shortly.

  3. Oh Sarah Dessen...you get me every freaking time! I was talking to some girl at a party once and she goes "It's the same story everytime about a girl with problems and a boy with problems who fall for eachother, but I can't get enough."

Simone Elkeles definitely has a way of writing a good YA romance that makes me want every bad boy to turn his life around.

I guess to add any other YA stories...I'd have to go with my all-time favorite: The Jessica Darling series. I've had a thing for dreadlocked boys ever since I read SLOPPY FIRSTS in 9th grade.

  4. I REALLY want to read Anna. I don't know what my favorite romance heavy books are right now... I haven't read much romance lately.... I should fix that.

  5. I could gush about Sarah Dessen for many blog posts, but yes, TTAF is one of my all-time favorite YA romance books. I recently read and really liked The Book of Luke by Jenny O'Connell. (haven't read Anna yet, but will soon, I hope!)

  6. I was searching for romance-heavy books I loved, and couldn't come up with many (although MATCHED is definitely on there!). Definitely means to need to read more -- I've heard great things about ANNA.
